Kola Adesina MFR, is a Nigerian entrepreneur who holds the position of Group Managing Director at Sahara Group. Additionally, he has served as the former Chairman of Egbin Power Plc and currently holds the role of Board Chairman at Ikeja Electric.

In terms of education, Adesina attained a B.Sc degree in Insurance and an M.Sc degree in Business from the University of Lagos. His pursuit of knowledge extended to executive programs at both Harvard Business School and The Wharton School Advanced Management Program.

Adesina commenced his career in the insurance industry before joining Sahara Group, where his adept selling skills propelled him up the organizational hierarchy. Notable projects under his leadership at Sahara Group include the nationwide strategic management of the fuel supply chain to the Emergency Power Plant of the defunct National Electricity Power Authority (now Power Holding Company Nigeria Limited). Additionally, he played a pivotal role in the Majestic Oil delegation’s acquisition of the Sierra Leone Refinery and managed the Crude Oil contract of the Group in Côte d’Ivoire. In this capacity, he also served as the Director of Infrastructure, overseeing the acquisition of strategic assets in Africa.

Adesina’s contributions extend beyond the corporate realm; he served as a member of the Presidential Committee inaugurated by President Jonathan on the Accelerated Expansion of the Electricity Infrastructure in Nigeria. This committee played a key role in the unbundling of PHCN successor companies. Furthermore, he chairs the board of Ikeja Electric.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Kola Adesina was honoured as the Vanguard Private Sector Icon of the Year in 2022.

Yashua is a Pediatrician and Public Health expert with vast experience in the areas of Public Health Policy, Qualitative Research and Hospital Administration. She works with various agencies, national and international NGOs, and Public Health Institutions around the world on Community Health, Behavioral Change Communication, Policy Dialogue processes, Holistic Care and Health Promotion activities.

Some of her current partners include the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), the Institute of International Education (IIE) based in New York, and the Common Heritage Foundation based in Nigeria.
