World Sickle Cell Day 2026: Delivering Hope to Children and Families

Advancing Care. Strengthening Lives. Creating Hope.

On June 19, 2026, Brain and Body Foundation commemorated World Sickle Cell Day through a comprehensive medical outreach designed to improve access to care for children living with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD).

The outreach provided consultations, assessments, treatment support, caregiver education, and follow-up services to vulnerable children who often face significant barriers to specialized healthcare.

Over the course of the clinic, 144 patients received care, representing one of our most impactful outreach efforts to date. 91 Children Living with Sickle Cell Disease. 53 Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.

A Day of Compassion in Action

The June 2026 clinic was more than a medical outreach, it was an opportunity to connect with families, educate caregivers, and strengthen long-term support systems for children living with chronic conditions.

Throughout the day, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and caregivers worked together to ensure every child received personalized attention and quality care.

Families, caregivers, volunteers, and healthcare professionals united on World Sickle Cell Day 2026 to provide life-changing care for children with sickle cell disease and neurological disorders.
